New fantasy TTRPG maps

I have worked with Spidermind Games, (publisher of Legendary Kingdoms) for several years. Over that time I’ve worked on fantasy character art, spell artwork, black and white sketches and these maps.

I find working on maps really satisfying. It feels like the most significant part of world building that you can provide.

Working across three different fantasy maps, Spidermind Games asked me to create a real different culture vibe for each. At the top of the page, the very pirate conquest orientated map for the Splintered Isles. Just above, the barbarian lands of the Valley of Bones. And below the more European medieval style County of Longport Bay.

What is Legendary Kingdoms?

Legendary kingdoms is a tabletop roleplaying game, or TTRPG. However rather than games like Dungeons and Dragons, you don’t need a ‘dungeon master’. Dungeons masters usually host and guide your game, but Legendary Kingdoms is played with a single player. The book itself does all the heavy lifting, with the rules and consequences being driven by the situations present in the book.

From the Legendary Kingdoms website:

“An epic, choose-your-own-adventure-style gamebook set in a sandbox fantasy world. Prepare for an adventure in this huge open-world gamebook series. Legendary Kingdoms is a roleplaying campaign, where you lead a party of adventurers in a world that adapts to your actions. Venture into ancient ruins, pick a side and lead.”
