Minotaur art – Halaster’s Compass

Minotaur art for upcoming TTRPG

Here’s the big reveal on the minotaur art I teased a while ago… In case you missed it, I posted about working with Ed Laccohee and Ed Reeve on their upcoming tabletop roleplay game (TTRPG), Halaster’s Compass. You can read about the initial sketches for the four creatures I illustrated for them here!

I don’t often get to do minotaur art, but ended up doing several in a week on this project and another (I’ll show soon, I promise!). I do love these really meaty looking guys. When I was sketching, I just kept making him chunkier and chunkier, and it was so satisfying!

for each race, I was commissioned to provide two sketch choices for the Eds to choose from, and I’m pleased that they went with this one (sketch choices below). Ed asked if they could include on accent colour. So I went for some classic minotaur red eyes. This and the Faerie Mobster are my favourite two pieces of the bunch. I am looking forward to working with the Eds in future, it sounds like they have a lot planned for their fantasy adventure!

Share the love!

I love my job. I’ve always wanted to be an artist working on fantasy settings, creating world that give people real escapism and suspend their disbelief. One of the things I absolutely love though, is the interaction with people who are following along with what I’m doing. Hearing comments, and seeing my work make it’s way around the world makes me so happy!
