Faerie Art – Halaster’s Compass

Faerie art, a fairy mob boss by The Noble Artist for ttrpg, Halaster's Compass

Final Faerie art

I promised I’d show this Faerie art off as soon as I could, so here goes! It’s one of a series of four illustrations I provided for the upcoming game Halaster’s Compass.

In case you missed it, I posted about working with Ed Laccohee and Ed Reeve on their upcoming tabletop roleplay game (TTRPG), Halaster’s Compass. You can read about the initial sketches for the four creatures I illustrated for them here!

I’ve gotta say, I’ve never even thought about a Faerie mob boss, but man am I glad I had the opportunity to illustrate it. I channelled my inner Tony Soprano (I love that show too much), and added some fairy dust… and here we have it. I really liked adding the orange glow of the cigar as the only colour. Sketches below, of which the team at Halaster’s Compass could choose one to move forward with. I’m glad they went with this one, I think it really suited the brief.

If you need fantasy art

Share the love!

I love my job. I’ve always wanted to be an artist working on fantasy settings, creating world that give people real escapism and suspend their disbelief. One of the things I absolutely love though, is the interaction with people who are following along with what I’m doing. Hearing comments, and seeing my work make it’s way around the world makes me so happy!
