The Inquisitive Goblin

The Inquisitive Goblin is a new book store, (that needed a new fantasy logo), that sells old books… Second hand books are becoming more and more popular. Often less expensive than brand new, and second hand stores are the kind of emporium of promise, where you’ll never quite know what you’ll find. All the out of print titles, you thought you’d never read. A little like going on an adventure to find loot before you’ve opened up the novel!

Scott and Heidi are the founders of The Inquisitive Goblin. I know them well as they are selfless contributors to the board game industry. Scott has helped me with my own game designs, introductions to key industry people and given hours of his time to help on many of my projects.

I was really pleased when they asked me to put together something that reflected their brand. So I went ahead and designed, the actual inquisitive goblin!

A bit about me, the illustrator:

I’m Jamie, I am an illustrator, graphic designer, business owner and fantasy geek. I live and work in Sussex, UK.

I love working on fiction book covers and games in the broad genre I like to call “Escapism”… I’m particularly a massive fantasy fan, but love sci-fi and horror too. I’ve been working professionally on video games, books and board games since 2010 and even published my own successful board game: Hero Master: An Epic Game of Epic Fails back in 2018.

I achieved my lifelong dream of regularly working on illustration for the Warhammer IP in 2021, and can’t wait for the next challenge to arise. Shout me if you need me, you can fill in a few details to get the ball rolling, but following the link below.
