Sci-fi board game art

I was going through some old work from a few years ago and discovered the sci-fi board game art for the cover from currently unreleased board game Death Match.

Deathmatch was a game about futuristic gladiatorial battles between various alien and humanoid races. The audience and lights were suggestive of a popular sport in this sci-fi setting.

Although I’d smooth some bits out on this image I still really like it. The colours are fun and I like the drama the unseen charging beast is creating between the two combatants.

Right now I think Deathmatch is currently being reworked, so watch this space. I’ll post if and when there’s news on the release.
