A new SFF book cover

… That’s science fiction, fantasy and speculative fantasy if you’re new to the world of fantasy writing. I was approached by David Alyn Gordon to illustrate a SFF book cover via my online contact form (which gives you useful areas to explain what you’re looking for, your hopes and needs, you can find three different types of the form here.)

This cover is for one of the books in his Jigsaw series. A very interesting take on time travel, science fiction and “what if” questions. David covers lots of popular culture elements of the time periods he chooses, and I wanted to give a feel of time and space on the cover.

The sketch above is not far away from the final product. We had a really productive zoom call and went over the synopsis and elements David wanted to represent on the cover.

You can find out more about the series on David’s website.

Share the love!

I love my job. I’ve always wanted to be an artist working on fantasy settings, creating worlds that give people real escapism and suspend their disbelief. One of the things I absolutely love though, is the interaction with people who are following along with what I’m doing. Hearing comments, and seeing my work make it’s way around the world makes me so happy! So please go ahead, share my posts with people you think would like them, it really helps me to continue to do what I do.
