Spotting my artwork in the wild: Warhammer World
I have some amazing friends. I’m very lucky… One of whom (thank you Tim) took me to Warhammer World as a 40th birthday treat. I had a blast playing games, drinking Warhammer themed beer (Stormcast Lager please), and taking in their incredible dioramas. I even stumbled across a load of my artwork they commissioned among the books on their shelves.
Warhammer World
Warhammer World is the home of Warhammer. The multiverse that makes up the settings for all of Games Workshop’s games. Based in Nottingham UK, I’ve long wanted to make the pilgrimage up there to see the Mecca to wargaming’s most recognised brand.
Some of you who have followed me for a while will know how over the moon I was to begin receiving art commissions for their roleplay games in their fantasy and sci-fi universes.
I have THE MOST vivid memories of being a kid and wanting nothing but to draw pictures for Warhammer. This has to be one of the most satisfying moments of my life. I feel very thankful for the opportunities and proud of my hard work to get there.
Finding my art
Having a dig through their game books, I recognised a title. “I think I’ve got some work in here…” I called to Tim, only to find another Warhammer World visitor looking back at me… Well, long story short, it made my day to have someone appreciate the work I’d done for the games, and he generously took the photo above of me holding the book displaying my work.
Amazing displays
We bagged ourselves some exhibition tickets and dived in to the multiple rooms of incredible sets of carefully arranged scenery and miniatures. So much detail and creativity in each glass case!
Hi I’m Jamie!
I work on fantasy art for various clients from authors to game publishers. I have had some great clients working on both established IPs and new settings. I’m always interested in hearing about more projects I might be needed on, so feel free to drop me an email to info@thenobleartist.com
If you’re looking for a fantasy artist, feel free to snoop through my illustration portfolio or head straight over to contact me for work. You’ll find my email address and some handy forms which guide you through some of the starting info I’ll need to be able to quote for you. Typically I’m booked up a month ahead of time, but do drop me a line if you have anything time sensitive. Sometimes I’m able to move things around in a pinch. Hope to hear from you! In the meantime, stay informed of my new work and availability and sign up for the mailing list.
