Fantasy map for CR Hunt

My latest fantasy map commission! I’ve been working for, CR Hunt for a couple of years now. I love the pieces we’ve worked on. You’ll find the original two a little lower down the page.

There’s something I love about working on fantasy maps for setting I’m getting familiar with. It really gives me an anchor in their world. CR Hunt told me that to the inhabitants of the setting, they think the island looks a little like a dragon’s tooth.

Should authors include a fantasy map in their novel?

Incorporating a fantasy map in a novel is essential for fantasy authors looking to enhance their storytelling. A well-crafted fantasy map not only provides readers with a visual reference to the world but also enriches the narrative by helping them understand the geography, cultures, and relationships between various locations. It allows readers to immerse themselves in the story, fostering a deeper connection to the characters’ journeys and adventures. Furthermore, a fantasy map can spark curiosity, encouraging readers to explore and engage with the intricate details of the world you’ve created. By including a fantasy map, authors can elevate their work, making it more memorable and captivating for their audience.
