No! Your eyes don’t deceive you! It’s another cover for author Brian Rathbone. We’re working through a load of his novels giving them some epic covers! This one I even convinced him to let me pop a dragon in there. Thankfully it’s in the books! So at least it actually warrants a dragon book cover.
Below is the really loose sketch I sent Brian to establish the idea. It’s a bit rough around the edges… It always makes me chuckle when a new client sees my mega rough compositional sketches. They’re like… “what have I gotten myself into here?”… I am very quick to let them know it’s super loose!
