Fantasy map commission for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I was commissioned by Cubicle 7 to create several pieces as a Warhammer fantasy map artist for the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay game. As a Warhammer fantasy fan of decades gone by (and now revisiting) I jumped at the opportunity.
Above is Grunewald Lodge, an internal map showing three floors of fantasy goodness… complete with chaos cult basement!

Warhammer Fantasy town map
This is Hugeldal, a town of the Warhammer Fantasy Empire region of the Old World. The Empire has a great wealth of iconography so making the crests on these maps were a lot of fun.

Why Fantasy Maps are commissioned in
Fantasy maps get commissioned for TTRPG books because they make a world feel real the moment you open the cover. As a map artist, I’m not just drawing mountains and rivers—I’m giving players something to dream about. A well-made map sparks curiosity, invites questions, and helps everyone picture the same world as the story unfolds. It turns “somewhere far away” into a place you can point to and say, “Let’s go there.” Commissioned maps are made with love for the setting and the adventure ahead, setting the tone for epic journeys, quiet villages, and dangers lurking just beyond the edge of the page.
