Warhammer Fantasy Art
Well… this is it. Boyhood dream complete. I’ve worked on official Warhammer Fantasy art.
If you’d have told a 12 year old me I’d be illustrating officially licensed Warhammer Fantasy artwork, I wouldn’t have believed you. As a kid, I was absolutely obsessed with Warhammer Fantasy. Finally the NDA has been lifted after waiting two years to show you! Each piece I did was a bit of a love letter to the world of Warhammer.
Cubicle 7 recently released their Dwarf Players Guide which features three pieces I illustrated for them. I struggle to work out which was my favourite, but I have to say it’s probably the Dwarf Thane.

Dwarf Thane
Of all the races I could illustrate in the Warhammer Fantasy art collection, Dwarfs would be up there as some of the favourites. With their stout chunky silhouette and intricate crafting displayed in their armour and weapons, Dwarfs in Warhammer have got to be one of the coolest looking characters. I say this as a childhood Orc and Goblin player, who should despise these burly, beer breathed, bearded boys.
The Thane himself was a real treat as he has a bit more stature in the hierarchy of the Dwarf army and therefore a bit more fun to have in designing him!
Dwarf Queen

Very few references for this one, apart from a very old miniature! This was a load of fun, as it felt like making a little bit of history being one of the first artists to depict a Warhammer Dwarf Queen. Love the black and white of this one. Feels really punchy!
Cross Section of a Dwarven Hold
This was a blast to do. Each room had its own description and it was great working out the routes and tunnels between them. What a treat to be able to imagine the inner workings of a Dwarven Hold for the official Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay game.

Working as an artist in the Warhammer worlds.
I’ve been working for Cubicle 7 for almost five years now! I started on Warhammer Wrath and Glory, a Warhammer 40k setting (their futuristic sci-fi setting), and have worked on several other projects. I am however so pleased to have begun working on their fantasy IP. It’s my absolute favourite setting of all time!
So proud of myself to achieve such a personal milestone. I really look forward to showing you more in future!
Hi I’m Jamie!
I work on fantasy and sci-fi maps for various clients from authors to game publishers. I have had some great clients working on both established IPs and new settings. I’m always interested in hearing about more projects I might be needed on, so feel free to drop me an email to info@thenobleartist.com

If you’re looking for a fantasy artist, feel free to snoop through my illustration portfolio or head straight over to contact me for work. You’ll find my email address and some handy forms which guide you through some of the starting info I’ll need to be able to quote for you. Typically I’m booked up a month ahead of time, but do drop me a line if you have anything time sensitive. Sometimes I’m able to move things around in a pinch. Hope to hear from you!
